Old siding doesn't fail all at once — it fails quietly, letting moisture work into sheathing and framing for months before visible damage appears inside. Our Lockport, NY replacement crews do a full tear-off down to the substrate, document every deficiency, repair what needs repair, and install your new cladding system correctly the first time.
Not every crew that offers Siding Replacement has the credentials, tools, or documented track record to back the claim. Here's what separates our Lockport, NY team from the field.
Our crews are licensed and insured in NY. You can verify our credentials before signing anything — we provide license numbers at first contact.
We schedule rapid local dispatch in Lockport, NY. Most projects receive a site visit within 24–48 hours of the initial call, not a week later.
Every job is priced with a line-item written estimate before work begins. No open-ended hourly billing, no surprise invoices at completion.
Our technicians carry specialized tools and manufacturer certifications specific to this service. Real credentials, not general contractor flexibility.
Every service below is performed by trained specialists — not generalists covering a broad menu. Our Lockport, NY team focuses on Siding Replacement specifically, and that focus shows in the results.
Our demo crews strip all existing siding, nails, and furring, sorting debris into recyclable and disposal streams. Work areas are protected with tarps and cleaned each evening before we leave.
Every wall is inspected once bare. We probe for soft spots, check OSB delamination, and test framing moisture content with a pin-type meter before any new material goes on.
Housewrap is replaced on every project regardless of apparent condition — the old wrap is typically compromised at seams and penetrations and doesn't perform reliably once disturbed.
Removal exposes all window and door rough openings. We reflash every opening with self-adhering membrane tape before new cladding goes on — the most critical detail in a replacement project.
Your chosen product — vinyl, fiber cement, engineered wood, steel, or composite — installed per manufacturer specs with correct overlap, fastener pattern, and expansion gap at all terminations.
We replace J-channel, corner posts, fascia wrap, and soffit panels as part of the replacement scope so the finished system looks cohesive and all components carry the same warranty start date.
A clear, predictable process reduces stress and produces better results. Here's exactly what happens when you call our Lockport, NY Siding Replacement team.
We photograph the entire exterior, identify areas of suspected moisture damage, and take square footage measurements. The assessment is the foundation of your line-item estimate.
Crew strips existing siding, documents all substrate findings with photos, completes any required sheathing or framing repairs, and stages the new material for installation.
New housewrap, flashing, and cladding system installed in sequence, with all penetrations and terminations addressed before closing in any section.
All debris removed, property swept for fasteners, and a full exterior walkthrough completed with you — every wall, every corner — before final payment is collected.
Forge Siding replaced every inch of siding on our 1960s ranch. They found rotted sheathing on the north wall, showed me the damage before doing anything, and fixed it at the agreed price. The new cladding transformed the whole house.
Getting three bids was eye-opening. Two contractors gave me single-number quotes. Forge Siding gave me a line-item breakdown and was the only one who mentioned flashing the window openings as part of the replacement scope. That detail sold me.
Communication was exceptional. I got a text update each morning telling me the day's scope and each afternoon confirming what was completed. I always knew exactly where the project stood.
The honest assessment was what we needed. Other contractors just quoted patches. Forge Siding explained why the patches kept failing and what a permanent fix actually looked like.
